- What
is an Adult Home?
An Adult Home is for someone needing minimal assistance. The
person would need to be able to ambulate independently with
or without an assistive device, dress themselves and take care
of their personal hygiene.
- What
Does the Nursing Staff Consist of?
At this point in time, the NYS Dept. of Health does not require
a LPN or RN, however "The Home" employs two full-time
LPN's. The additional nursing staff consist of CNA's and PCA's.
- How
Large is the Staff Turnover Rate at "The Home?"
Our Adminstrator, Nursing Supervisor and Dietary Manager have
been with The Home for more than fifteen years.The remaining
staff have an average stay of five years.
- How
Many Employees are on Duty for Third Shift?
There are at least two employees on duty at all times. Our Administrator,
Nursing Supervisor and Maintenance Supervisor are on call 24
hours a day, seven days a week.
- Do
You Cater to Residents with Special Diets?
Our menus consist of lo-salt meals and diabetic desserts are
served.
- Do
You Have Respite Care?
Yes, Respite Care is for someone needing
one week to six weeks of respite. All the same services are
offered for a short-term stay and the person must meet Adult
Home Care criteria.
